Last updated: [DATE ON PUBLICATION]
These terms apply when you use capitalessons.com and the emails sent by Capital Lessons. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
The site is run by Capital Lessons, based in Portugal. You can reach us at hello@capitalessons.com.
Educational content only
Everything on Capital Lessons, including articles, tools, charts and emails, is for education and general information. It doesn’t take your personal situation into account, and it isn’t financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Nothing we publish is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or financial product.
Investing involves risk, including the loss of the money you invest. Past performance doesn’t tell you what will happen in the future. You are responsible for your own decisions. Consider talking to a qualified professional before you act on anything you read.
Accuracy
We check our work and correct mistakes when we find them, as described in our Editorial Policy. Still, information can contain errors or go out of date, especially prices and product features. We can’t guarantee that everything on the site is complete, accurate or current at the moment you read it.
Using our content
The articles, images, charts and other material on Capital Lessons belong to Capital Lessons or are used with permission, and they are protected by copyright.
You’re welcome to:
- read, share links to our pages, and save articles for personal use;
- quote short excerpts, with credit to Capital Lessons and a link to the original page.
Please don’t, without our written permission:
- republish full articles, images or emails, or present them as your own;
- use our content for commercial purposes;
- copy the site in bulk with automated tools, including to build datasets or train AI models.
The Capital Lessons name and logo are ours. Please don’t use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to other websites, including sources and, sometimes, affiliate partners. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Their own terms apply. How affiliate links work is explained in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Emails
You must be 18 or older to subscribe. When you subscribe, you get a five-day series of short market stories and then The Weekly Chapter. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Please don’t try to disrupt the site, get around its security, or use it for anything unlawful.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Capital Lessons is not liable for losses that result from using the site, relying on its content, or using third-party websites linked from it, including investment losses. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under laws that can’t be excluded by agreement, such as consumer protection laws in your country.
Changes to the site and these terms
We may change, pause or remove parts of the site. We may also update these terms. When we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Using the site after an update means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any dispute will be handled by the courts that have jurisdiction under the law. If you are a consumer, this doesn’t take away any mandatory protection you have under the laws of the country where you live, including any right to bring a claim in the courts there.
